Willow

Willow is one of our success stories. She was found by Tom on his ranch this winter and wanted to make a good home for her. We took her in and had her Spayed and give her all the shots she needed. She is now living in a wonderful home and enjoying life to the fullest. We will be following her growth and updating you on her progress here.

Update on Willow: She has started to become more familiar with the other cat's in the home, she has gained weight and playing with everyone. Willow enjoys the outdoors and hunting. She is learning to mix and socialize.

Spay and Neuter. Ouch

All animals which are adopted are either previously spayed or neutered at our clinic or an appointment is made for them at a local veterinarian at the time of the adoption. The adopter obtains ownership when they pick their animal up after the procedure at the veterinarian clinic. The only exception for spay and neuter is if the animal is too young, in which case, an appointment is made for the animal for when it is old enough and the fee is collected at time of adoption.

The Valley Humane League works with our local veterinarians to provide a low cost spay and neuter program. In addition, the organization assists in the investigation and prevention of animal abuse, advocates the appropriate standards of care for animals in the San Luis Valley, and educates the public on pet health and pet care issues.
